Violent clashes erupted among Houthi militants in the Harib district of Marib Province, northeastern Yemen, following the defection of an entire company attempting to join the Giants Brigades on the Mal’a front.
Field sources reported that the fighting broke out near Mount Al-Mustanid, overlooking the village of Al-Haysha, close to the Mal’a Pass. The confrontations lasted for several hours and resulted in casualties among the Houthi ranks.
The sources confirmed that the Houthi forces managed to prevent the defecting company from joining the Giants Brigades, which are led by Abu Zar’a al-Mahrami, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council.
The situation highlights the ongoing internal strife within the Houthi movement as it faces pressure from both military fronts and internal dissent.
