Local sources reported on Thursday, October 24, 2024, that the body of a young man in his thirties was discovered in the Bani Hushaish district of Sanaa, marking the third violent incident in the region within 48 hours.

According to residents who spoke to Barran Press, the victim, identified as Younis Ali Hizam Al-Sarfi, was found dead near a vineyard in the village of Sarf. His body was located after a week of being missing, with the discovery prompted by his motorcycle, which was found near the vineyard.

Community members initiated a search for Younis and began to notice a foul odor emanating from the area, leading them to uncover a shallow grave where the body had been buried, with signs of rot evident.

Examinations of Younis’s body revealed that he had been killed with a sharp instrument, specifically a sickle, which was found beside the grave.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, citizens reported finding another body lying in the street in the Al-Sayla area of Sanaa, which is under Houthi control. Residents noted that the corpse showed signs of a gunshot wound to the chest, and a firearm was found near the victim. The deceased was identified as a resident of Al-Hudaydah province, belonging to the Al-Faz family. However, the identities of the assailants and the motives behind the crime remain unknown.

Additionally, on Tuesday, sources reported a suicide in the same Bani Hushaish district, where a 32-year-old man named Sobhi Hamoud Al-Sarfi was found hanged in his home, reportedly due to the dire living conditions faced by his family.
