On Thursday, October 24, 2024, the Education Office in Marib Governorate honored the top-performing students in the General Secondary Certificate, recognizing their achievements at both the national and provincial levels for the academic year 2023-2024.

According to the official Yemeni news agency Saba, a total of 19 students received accolades for their outstanding performance, excelling in both the scientific and literary divisions of the secondary education certificate.

During the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Ali Al-Abab and the Governor's Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Abdullah Al-Bakri, congratulated the honored students. They noted that the recognition coincided with Yemen's national celebrations of the 26th September and 14th October revolutions, embodying the lofty goals of these commemorations to liberate Yemen from ignorance and illiteracy, promoting freedom, education, economic prosperity, and equality.

They emphasized that the awards serve as motivation for all other students to strive for academic excellence, helping to build a promising and distinguished future generation.

Al-Abab and Al-Bakri commended the significant efforts of teachers in the province, who continue their educational mission despite the challenging economic conditions faced by them and their families. They also highlighted the systematic destruction of the educational process in areas controlled by the Houthis over the past ten years.

The event featured various artistic performances and recitations by talented female students, showcasing the importance of education, particularly for girls, and the challenges faced by the educational system in the province.
