The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Friday, October 25, 2024, the deaths of an officer and two soldiers during clashes in northern Gaza, coinciding with ongoing resistance operations in various locations.

According to Israeli broadcasting agencies, the casualties occurred during an assault on the Kamal Adwan Hospital early in the morning when a tank from the 196th Battalion of the 460th Armored Brigade was targeted by an explosive device. The blast resulted in the deaths of three crew members and injured another soldier.

The Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for targeting an Israeli military vehicle with an explosive device on Al-Qasasib Street in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Additionally, the Al-Quds Brigades reported launching mortar shells at Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the same area.

The Al-Quds Brigades further stated that their fighters targeted an Israeli military bulldozer with an RPG on Sikka Street east of Jabalia camp and used pre-planted explosives to hit another Israeli military vehicle near the Al-Barawi station in Beit Lahia, also in the northern Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been conducting a military campaign against Gaza, supported by the U.S., resulting in over 143,000 Palestinian casualties, including many children and women, and more than 10,000 individuals reported missing. The ongoing conflict has led to unprecedented destruction and a severe humanitarian crisis in the region.
