On Saturday, October 26, 2024, Yemen's Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance, under the internationally recognized government, announced that individuals wishing to register for Hajj in the upcoming year (1446) must pay an initial fee of 5,000 Saudi riyals. This fee is required before the full costs of the pilgrimage are officially announced.

In a statement published by the official Yemeni news agency Saba, the ministry emphasized that those interested in performing Hajj should "contact authorized establishments to complete registration procedures during the designated period and pay the initial deposit to secure their spot."

The registration period opened on October 26, 2024, and will remain open until December 12, 2024. The ministry noted that this early registration aligns with Saudi Arabia's preparations for announcing Hajj program packages, offering special privileges to countries that secure early reservations.

The ministry also outlined that the registration process will adhere to specific regulations to ensure the best services for pilgrims. These regulations include compliance with the announced price list, travel arrangements, and the allocation of services, which will be detailed once the contracted service providers in Saudi Arabia finalize their offerings.

Furthermore, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating the Hajj experience for pilgrims while warning against dealing with brokers and unlicensed establishments.
