On Sunday, October 27, 2024, field sources reported the crash of a Houthi-operated drone classified as belonging to an internationally recognized terrorist organization, after it flew over the positions of the Yemeni army and resistance forces in Marib province, northeastern Yemen.

According to sources speaking to Barran Press, the drone was found by army personnel and resistance fighters between the areas of Nami and Al-Sayyidat in southern Marib.

The drone had been flying at a low altitude on Saturday evening over the national army's sites on the southern front of Marib before disappearing in the direction where it was later located on Sunday.

Sources indicated that the drone showed no signs of damage, suggesting it may have encountered a technical malfunction. They noted the potential for its use by the army and resistance forces in their ongoing operations against the Houthi group.
