On Monday, October 28, 2024, Hadramout Governor Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi arrived at the tribal camps of the Hadramout Alliance in the Ghayl bin Yamin district, aiming to resolve ongoing disputes between the local authority and the alliance.

According to tribal sources, Governor bin Madi, accompanied by the Deputy Governor for the Valley and Desert districts, Amer Saeed Al-Amri, was welcomed by Sheikh Amro bin Ali bin Habrish, the first deputy governor and leader of the Hadramout Conference and the tribal alliance.

The meeting addressed several issues concerning the demands of the people of Hadramout, particularly their share of the province's resources and their inclusion in governance and the national political process.

During the visit, Governor bin Madi tasked Sheikh Omar bin Habrish with handling the file of the local demands. The governor's objective is to unify the Hadrami stance and reach an agreement that addresses the concerns and needs of the province's residents.

The Hadramout Tribal Alliance has recently escalated its actions against the government and the Presidential Leadership Council by establishing new camps and points in various areas of the province. This escalation follows a meeting held on July 31, 2024, where they demanded a share of the province's wealth. This move coincided with the second visit of Presidential Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi to the resource-rich region.
