On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning reported a continued drop in temperatures across Yemen, with the lowest recorded temperature at 8 degrees Celsius in Dhamar province. The center anticipates relatively cold weather during the night and early morning hours, particularly in mountainous regions, and forecasts scattered rain in nine provinces.

In its daily bulletin, reviewed by Barran Press, the center noted the likelihood of occasional thunderstorms and rain in parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Al-Hudaydah, Raymah, western Dhamar, Ibb, and Taiz, as well as in the mountainous areas and the Tihama plain.

The forecast also predicts clear to partly cloudy weather along the coastal regions, with scattered rain possible in the Tihama plain, western coasts, and the Socotra archipelago.

Desert areas are expected to experience clear conditions with isolated clouds forming during the day. Winds will be light to moderate, ranging from 10 to 20 knots, stirring up dust and debris.

Regarding temperature trends, the center indicated that temperatures have continued to decline in several mountainous provinces. Dhamar recorded a low of 8 degrees Celsius, followed by Sana'a at 9 degrees, and Saada, Amran, and Al-Bayda at around 10 degrees. Ibb registered 11 degrees, while Al-Mahwit recorded 12 degrees.

The center has advised citizens, especially the elderly, children, and those with health conditions, to take necessary precautions against the relatively cold weather during late-night and early morning hours. Additionally, it cautioned against staying in riverbeds and flood pathways.
