On November 2, 2024, the city of Marib in northeastern Yemen celebrated the conclusion of the first "Green City Summer Festival," which spanned four months and featured a variety of entertainment, artistic, cultural, and theatrical activities, and competitions.

Festival Executive Director Mohammed Abdulqader stated that the event aimed to enhance cultural, artistic, and recreational activities in the province while providing psychological support for children and families, particularly in a region that houses over 60% of internally displaced persons.

Abdulqader praised the support from local authorities that contributed to the summer festival's success, noting that it marked a unique event for the province and expressing intentions to develop future editions.

The closing ceremony was filled with numerous artistic performances that delighted attendees, culminating in a grand prize draw for a Suzuki car along with other electronic prizes.
