Tareq Saleh, a member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and leader of the National Resistance Forces, narrowly escaped a traffic accident on November 3, 2024, while traveling on the Al-Khokha-Mokha road.
According to reports from the Chinese news agency Xinhua, Saleh was involved in the incident while returning from the inauguration of a dialysis center and a meeting with military and civilian leaders in Al-Khokha, located in Al-Hudaydah province.
Sources confirmed that Saleh sustained minor injuries and bruises, prompting his transport to a local hospital. After receiving treatment, he was discharged, as reported by journalist Faris Al-Hamiri.
The accident occurred when a small truck collided with the vehicle carrying Saleh. Several others were also injured in the crash, including the driver of the civilian vehicle and his family, who were traveling with him.
Earlier that day, Saleh had attended a wide-ranging military and civilian meeting in Al-Khokha, where he emphasized that "the rifle of liberation will restore the usurped homeland destroyed by the Iranian agenda," declaring that "the liberation of Al-Hudaydah will be the first step toward reclaiming Sana'a."
He also stressed the importance of building a unified army to protect Yemenis and their country, asserting that "militias and sectarian gangs do not build a state but rather tear it apart."
