The Yemeni Teachers Union in Marib, northeastern Yemen, officially launched the distribution of health service cards for teachers on November 5, 2024.
During the ceremony, Abdullah Al-Bazli, the head of the Teachers Union in Marib, announced that the union has signed several contracts with both public and private medical institutions to provide health services to cardholders.
Al-Bazli stated that the health service card offers various medical services at significantly reduced rates, with discounts reaching up to 70% at participating facilities.
He further emphasized that the union will issue health service cards to all education sector employees in the province, regardless of their union membership status.
This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of medical and pharmaceutical expenses for teachers and their families, seen as a crucial support measure during these challenging times for educators.
