The Yemeni Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on November 6, 2024, that it has commenced the transfer of tuition fees for students studying abroad for the academic year 2023-2024.

Mazen Al-Jefri, the ministry's undersecretary for scholarships, stated that the transfers are being made from the Central Bank of Yemen in Aden, the country's temporary capital, to all accredited cultural attachés and Yemeni embassies abroad. Funds are expected to be disbursed to students in the coming days.

According to the official Yemeni news agency Saba, Al-Jefri noted that the scholarship sector has completed preparations for the third and fourth quarters of 2023 to reduce the time interval between the due date and the expected payment date.

He urged all students studying abroad to appreciate the current challenges and difficulties facing the nation.
