The Public Health and Population Office in Marib Governorate received a significant shipment of medical supplies on November 9, 2024, provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. This marks the third delivery aimed at supporting dialysis centers in the region's hospitals.

The shipment, weighing approximately 30 tons, is designated for the dialysis centers at the Marib General Hospital and the Al-Ateer Charity Hospital in the Harib district, according to the official Saba News Agency.

During the handover ceremony, attended by the Deputy Head of Marib General Hospital, Mohammed Hindros, the Director General of the Health Office in Mareb, Ahmed Al-Abadi, praised Saudi Arabia's substantial humanitarian support for the health sector and other vital areas in the governorate.

Al-Abadi highlighted the acute shortage of health services in Marib, which hosts over 3 million residents, far exceeding the capabilities of the local health sector. He emphasized that this shortfall necessitates increased support from partners to enable the health sector to fulfill its responsibilities towards internally displaced persons and the host community while combating the spread of various epidemics and diseases.
