Cold Snap Hits Five Yemeni Provinces, Dhamar Records Lowest Temperature

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted cold weather during the night and early morning hours across six mountainous provinces and the highlands of three others. Notably, five provinces are experiencing the coldest temperatures recorded since the onset of winter, with Dhamar reporting a low of 5.6 degrees Celsius.

According to the daily bulletin from the meteorological center, which was reviewed by Barran Press, the provinces expected to experience cold conditions include Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Dhale, Al-Bayda, as well as the highlands of Lahij, Ibb, and Abyan. The minimum temperatures are predicted to range between 3 and 8 degrees Celsius in the coming hours.

The center reported the lowest temperatures recorded at various weather stations this morning: Dhamar at 6.5°C, Sana'a at 6.8°C, Al-Bayda at 7°C, Amran at 8.4°C, and Ibb at 9.5°C.

In its bulletin, the National Center for Meteorology urged residents, especially children, the elderly, and those working during the night and early morning, to take necessary precautions against the cold weather.
