A Yemeni man died in a tragic work accident in Taif, western Saudi Arabia, on November 10, 2024.

According to a Yemeni source to Baran Press , the young man, identified as Said Musaad Ahmed Al-Barari, was killed when a concrete bridge collapsed onto the truck he was driving. The incident occurred as he was attempting to maneuver the truck into a yard, having forgotten to lower the truck bed after unloading sand.

The source reported that the truck bed collided with the overhead concrete bridge at the entrance, causing the structure to fall directly onto the cabin of the truck, resulting in Al-Barari's immediate death. His colleagues rushed to extricate him from the vehicle and transported him to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Images obtained by Barran Press show the truck after the bridge collapsed onto it, leading to Al-Barari's tragic demise.

Al-Barari had been working and living in Saudi Arabia for some time and was originally from the village of Al-Barari in the Raydah District of Amran Governorate, northern Yemen.
