The National Meteorological Center issued a forecast on November 11, 2024, predicting cold weather during the night and early morning hours in mountainous regions, along with scattered rainfall across various governorates.

In its daily bulletin, seen by Barran Press,  the center indicated that the mountainous areas, including Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda, as well as the highlands of Ibb, Al-Dhali, and Abyan, will experience clear and cold conditions at night and in the early morning.

The forecast also noted that daytime weather will be partly cloudy to clear, with light to moderate rain expected in parts of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, and Lahij.

Temperatures are predicted to drop, with minimum temperatures expected to reach 5 degrees Celsius in Dhamar, 6 degrees in Sana'a, 7 degrees in Amran and Saada, and 8 degrees in Ibb.

In coastal regions, partly cloudy skies are anticipated, with potential rainfall over the Socotra Archipelago and parts of the Tihamah plain. Strong winds reaching up to 27 knots could lead to rough seas and increased wave heights in the southern Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb, and the western Gulf of Aden.

The center also highlighted that desert areas are likely to see clear to partly cloudy weather, with light to moderate winds occasionally stirring up dust and sand.

The National Meteorological Center has warned vulnerable groups, particularly children, the elderly, and outdoor workers, to take necessary precautions against the cold weather during the night and early morning hours.
