On November 12, 2024, two civilians were injured when a drone operated by the Houthi group, classified as a terrorist organization, targeted a vehicle in western Taiz Governorate, southwestern Yemen.
Local sources reported to Barran Press that a "booby-trapped" drone struck a two-door Toyota Hilux pickup truck on the dirt road near the Al-Barah junction in the Maqbana district.
The attack injured two passengers in the vehicle, identified as Salah Abdu Hamadi and Adham Abdulrahman Hamadi, who were subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The targeted location is a principal route leading to the city of Taiz, frequented by civilians. Sources noted that the Houthis executed the strike without regard for civilian safety, emphasizing that the area is significantly distanced from active conflict zones.
