On November 14, 2024, the Civil Service and Social Insurance Office in Marib announced the formation of a committee tasked with reviewing 764 files of employees and retirees suspected of holding dual employment.

According to Saud Al-Yousufi, Director General of the Civil Service and Social Insurance Office in Marib, the committee comprises human resources managers and was established following a directive from the Ministry of Civil Service and Social Insurance, which included lists of suspected dual employees.

Al-Yousufi outlined three primary cases identified in the ministry's directive: individuals receiving multiple salaries from permanent or temporary positions within state administrative units, including central and local authorities, as well as the public and mixed sectors, and judicial, defense, and security agencies; those drawing a salary from a job while also receiving a pension; and individuals collecting multiple pensions from different retirement funds.

The newly formed committee will collect and verify data on suspected dual employees and those with similar names, providing them with a specially designed data form. This form will require targeted individuals to fill out necessary information along with their complete employment documents. Once the committee reviews and approves an employee's file, it will be forwarded to the Ministry of Civil Service and Social Insurance in Aden for processing and appropriate legal action.

Al-Yousufi urged civilian, military, and security personnel suspected of dual employment to promptly complete their data to avoid removal from the central database and to quickly approach the verification committee at the Civil Service and Social Insurance Office in the province.
