On November 16, 2024, Major General Sultan Al-Aradah, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, successfully resolved a nearly 40-year-old murder case between the Al-Fajih tribe of Marib and the Al-Shulan Dham tribe of Al-Jawf in northeastern Yemen.

According to a tribal source speaking to "Barran Press," Al-Aradah, along with several dignitaries and elders from the Al-Fajih tribe, welcomed a delegation from the Al-Shulan tribe, led by Sheikh Amin Al-Akimi, to adjudicate the long-standing dispute stemming from the murder of Hamad bin Ali bin Faraj bin Iqar Al-Fajihi Al-Obaydi nearly four decades ago.

The source confirmed that the Al-Iqar family chose to forgive the incident for the sake of God, refusing any compensation or blood money as a settlement. The resolution was concluded in the presence of numerous dignitaries and leaders from several tribes in Marib and Al-Jawf.
