The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has issued a forecast indicating cold to extremely cold weather conditions across six governorates during the nighttime and early morning hours. Expected temperatures are anticipated to range between 2 to 5 degrees Celsius, with colder conditions prevailing in the mountainous regions of three additional governorates.
According to the center's weather bulletin, accessed by "Barran Press," the governorates likely to experience cold to extremely cold weather include Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Dhali, and Al-Bayda. Notably, Mount Nabi Shu'ayb in Sana'a is expected to record the lowest temperature at 1 degree Celsius, followed by Dhamar at 2 degrees.
The center also noted that the highlands of Ibb, Lahij, and Abyan will experience chilly conditions, with low cloud formations likely to develop in parts of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Ibb, Raymah, and Taiz during the afternoon.
Coastal areas are predicted to have generally clear to partly cloudy weather, while the Socotra Archipelago may experience scattered rainfall.
The center has urged citizens, particularly children, the elderly, and workers during the night and early morning hours, to take necessary precautions against the cold temperatures. Furthermore, farmers are advised to implement measures to protect their crops, while beekeepers and livestock herders should ensure their animals are sheltered in warm locations.
