On the evening of November 17, 2024, the Yemeni Heritage Symphonies concert was launched at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, drawing significant official and public attendance.

Hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Yemeni Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, the event featured the Yemeni orchestra under the direction of Maestro Mohamed al-Qahoum, along with performances by renowned artists Arwa and Hussein Mohib, alongside several other Yemeni and Saudi musicians.

The concert showcased over 104 musicians from Yemen and Saudi Arabia, presenting a variety of musical and vocal styles that represent Yemen’s rich heritage, with contributions from musicians from Egypt, Tunisia, Kuwait, Syria, Lebanon, the UAE, Bahrain, France, Armenia, and Belarus.

Performers delivered a diverse array of musical pieces inspired by traditional Yemeni styles, including the Sanaa, Adeni, and Hadhrami heritages, with Saudi musicians joining in to present collaborative pieces that reflect the cultural ties between the two nations.

Yemeni Minister of Information Muammar al-Eryani described the concert as “exceptional, blending the essence of heritage with the authenticity of art” in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He encouraged those who could not secure tickets to watch the event on the Yemen, Aden, and Hadhramaut channels, as well as on MBC Cultural.

Al-Eryani expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government, and people, for their support and patronage of this significant cultural event, emphasizing that it reflects the fraternal cultural cooperation between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

In a previous post on X, Al-Eryani stated that the event is “not just an artistic display, but a message of love and brotherhood, showcasing the shared values and emotions that unite the two neighboring nations, reinforcing deep ties that transcend borders, with the Kingdom always a supportive partner in highlighting beauty, culture, and heritage.”
