On November 18, 2024, Rashad Alimi, the President of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, directed the provision of available support for the Yemeni Orchestra, emphasizing its noble mission of delivering a universal message of peace and showcasing Yemen's rich cultural heritage.

This announcement came during his meeting with the orchestra, led by Maestro Mohamed Al-Qahoum, following a vibrant musical event held the previous night at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, as reported by the official Yemeni news agency, Saba.

Alimi described the meeting with the orchestra as a "message of appreciation" for all those involved in this remarkable artistic endeavor, which he believes plays a crucial role in promoting awareness, fostering coexistence, and combating all forms of racism.

He praised the impressive musical performance by the Yemeni Orchestra during the concert organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Yemeni Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, as well as the Hadhramaut Cultural Foundation.

Additionally, Alimi acknowledged the support from Saudi Arabia, highlighting the event as a demonstration of a professional Yemeni orchestra that embodies creativity and beauty, stemming from an inspiring partnership between the government and the national private sector, serving as an effective platform for cultural diplomacy.

He reiterated the state's commitment to fostering arts, culture, and literature, including the orchestra's significant contributions to reviving and presenting Yemen's rich musical and folkloric heritage in a contemporary orchestral format.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani, Sheikh Abdullah Baqshan, head of the Hadhramaut Cultural Foundation, fellow foundation member Sheikh Abdullah Baahmadan, and artists Arwa and Hussein Mohib. They discussed the orchestra's journey, future concert plans in various friendly countries, and opportunities to direct the proceeds of its artistic endeavors toward supporting humanitarian initiatives within Yemen.
