Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia—The Yemeni national football team commenced its training camp in Kuala Lumpur on November 22, 2024, in preparation for the 26th Gulf Cup, which will take place in Kuwait from December 21, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
According to the official Saba News Agency, Algerian coach Nourredine Bouda Ali selected a squad of 24 players.
The team’s training camp follows two friendly matches against Sri Lanka in Doha on November 16 and 19. Yemen lost the first match 1-0 but bounced back to secure a 2-0 victory in the second.
In the Gulf Cup, Yemen will compete in Group B alongside Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
