Aden, Yemen – Yemeni Presidential Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has issued a presidential decree relieving a military intelligence official of his duties and referring him for investigation.

According to an official document circulated and reviewed by Barran Press, Al-Alimi's decree, dated November 19, 2024, dismisses Ali Mohammed Ali Abdullah Al-Sayya from his position as the Deputy for Intelligence at the Counter-Terrorism Agency.

The decree also nullifies Decision No. (59) of 2024 concerning the appointment of Al-Sayya as Deputy for the Counter-Terrorism Agency and rescinds all related appointments or promotions, formally initiating an investigation into his conduct.
