Marib, Yemen – On Sunday, November 24, 2024, the Public Health and Population Office in Marib Governorate launched a campaign to distribute mosquito nets to over 107,000 residents in the Valley, Harib, and Raghwan districts, funded by the International Organization for Migration.
Director of the Health Office, Ahmed Al-Abadi, stated in remarks reported by the official Saba News Agency that the campaign is being executed in collaboration with the National Malaria Control Program, involving 72 workers and distribution supervisors across 24 field teams operating in the targeted villages and areas.
Al-Abadi noted that the six-day campaign aims to distribute 53,000 insecticide-treated mosquito nets to combat malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases in the governorate.
