The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning announced on Monday, November 25, 2024, that cold weather is anticipated in five Yemeni provinces over the coming hours.
In its daily bulletin, which was reviewed by Barran Press, the center indicated that mountainous areas are expected to experience chilly conditions during the night and early morning in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda, with minimum temperatures ranging from 4 to 6 degrees Celsius.
The center also noted that relatively cold weather is forecasted for the highlands of Ibb, Al-Dhale, Lahij, and Abyan, where minimum temperatures will fall between 8 to 12 degrees Celsius. Additionally, scattered rain clouds are expected to develop over portions of Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, and Raymah during the afternoon.
Coastal areas are likely to experience clear to partly cloudy conditions, with moderate to brisk winds along the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
The meteorological center further indicated that desert regions will see clear and relatively cold weather at night and in the early morning, with moderate winds stirring dust and sand during the day.
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has warned citizens to be cautious of the cold weather in mountainous areas, urging precautions especially for children, school students, the elderly, and workers during the night and early morning hours.
