Shabwa, Yemen – A local source reported on Monday, November 25, 2024, that a health official has died following a traffic accident in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa Governorate in southeastern Yemen.
According to the source of Barran Press, the collision involved a civilian vehicle and a military truck on the Al-Sudaa road in Ataq, resulting in the death of Dr. Mohammed Nasser Najah, head of the response team at the Public Health and Population Office in Shabwa.
The source noted that Dr. Najah succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Ataq General Hospital after sustaining multiple injuries from the accident.
In October, areas under government control reported 357 different traffic incidents, resulting in 62 fatalities and 257 injuries, including 115 severe cases, according to official statistics released by the Security Media Center of the Ministry of Interior.
