The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning announced on Saturday, November 30, 2024, that cold and partly cloudy weather, along with scattered rain, is expected across several provinces in Yemen in the coming hours.
In its daily bulletin, seen by Barran Press, which was reviewed by Bran Press, the center indicated that mountainous areas, particularly in the provinces of Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Sana'a, Amran, and Saada, will experience cool weather, shifting from partly cloudy to cloudy conditions overnight and into the early morning.
Scattered rainfall is anticipated in parts of Saada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Amran, Sana'a, Raymah, Al-Hudaydah, Ibb, and Taiz, with fog and mist expected to form in the mountainous regions of Saada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, and Ibb during midday and evening hours.
The coastal areas are likely to see generally clear to partly cloudy skies, with some cloud cover and rain forming along the coasts of Hajjah and Al-Hudaydah. Moderate winds, occasionally strong, are expected in the southern Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab region, with speeds ranging from 15 to 25 knots.
The center also noted that desert areas will experience relatively dusty, clear weather, with active northeastern winds stirring up dust and sand.
The National Center for Meteorology warned citizens to take precautions against the cold weather in the mountainous regions, especially vulnerable groups such as children, school students, the elderly, and outdoor workers during nighttime and early morning hours.
