Marib, Yemen – A solidarity march in the city of Marib on Saturday, November 30, 2024, demanded effective and genuine support from Arab and Islamic governments for the Palestinian people, emphasizing the need for economic and political reinforcement.
The march, which attracted thousands of participants and paraded through the streets of Marib, coincided with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. A statement issued during the event highlighted that Palestine should not be viewed merely as a political issue, but as a matter of existence and human justice that requires enhanced political, diplomatic, and economic support globally.

The statement, which was shared with Barran Press, called for urgent action to end the occupation and defend Palestinian rights in international forums. It urged the United Nations, the Security Council, and the International Criminal Court to fulfill their legal and moral obligations concerning the systematic violations faced by the Palestinian people.
“We cannot allow the international community to continue in silence or with double standards, as justice knows no exceptions. Palestinian rights must be an integral part of global priorities, free from narrow calculations in the application of international law,” the statement read.
The Marib solidarity march emphasized the importance of documenting the crimes of the occupation and increasing efforts to raise global awareness of the suffering of the Palestinian people. It addressed humanitarian and rights organizations, stressing their duty to expose violations and hold perpetrators accountable, particularly in light of arrest warrants issued for leaders accused of terrorism, including Netanyahu and Gallant.
The statement reaffirmed that “free peoples are the true guarantors of this cause,” urging increased solidarity through demonstrations and boycott campaigns, as well as raising awareness about the ongoing confrontation that has lasted for over a year.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with unwavering U.S. support, has been accused of committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in over 145,000 Palestinian casualties, predominantly women and children, alongside thousands missing and widespread devastation leading to famine.
Tel Aviv continues its assaults despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and orders from the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
