On Sunday, December 1, 2024, the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning in Yemen forecasted cold and partly cloudy conditions across several provinces in the coming hours.

In its daily report, which was reviewed by Barran Press, the center indicated that the mountainous regions are expected to experience cold weather in the provinces of Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Sana'a, Amran, and Saada, with generally clear to partially cloudy skies during the night and early morning.

The forecast also includes partly to mostly cloudy conditions during the day, with scattered rain expected in parts of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Sana'a, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, western Dhamar, Ibb, and the Tihama plain. Additionally, fog and mist are anticipated in the mountainous areas of Saada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, and Ibb during the afternoon and evening.

The coastal areas are likely to see partly cloudy weather with possible rain clouds over parts of the coasts of Hajjah and Al-Hudaydah. Moderate winds, occasionally strong, are expected in the southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab entrance, and the Socotra Archipelago, with speeds ranging from 15 to 25 knots.

The center also noted that the desert regions are predicted to experience clear weather, with active northeastern winds stirring up dust and sand.

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning warned residents in mountainous areas to take precautions against the cold weather, especially for children, school students, the elderly, and workers during the night and early morning hours.
