On Monday, December 2, 2024, local sources reported that a combined effort from community members and security forces successfully recovered a citizen's vehicle two weeks after it was stolen from a gas station in the Harib district of Marib province, northeastern Yemen.

According to the source who spoke to Barran Press, the vehicle belonging to Salem Abdullah Bakheet Owaidan was taken from a line of cars at the Al-Abadi fuel station in Harib in mid-November. Community leaders Hussein Al-Qans and Daris Aboud spearheaded the recovery efforts, collaborating with the security administration of the Marakhah district in Shabwa province.

The stolen vehicle, a 2013 Toyota Hilux, was located after the community members conducted thorough surveillance and identified the gang's hideout in one of the ravines in western Shabwa.

Efforts to locate the vehicle began immediately after the theft, and with the cooperation of local security forces, the stolen vehicle was successfully retrieved.
