Local sources reported on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, that three civilians were injured when a shell fired by the Iran-backed Houthi group struck a residential area in the Al-Mudhaffar district of Taiz, southwestern Yemen.

According to sources speaking to Barran Press, the shell landed this morning near a water tank in Block 4 of Al-Mudhaffar while several civilians were present. The injured were promptly transported to Al-Thawra Hospital for treatment.

The same sources noted that another shell had fallen in the same neighborhood prior to the first incident, but there were no reported injuries from that blast.

On Sunday, December 1, six civilians were killed and eight others injured in a drone strike attributed to the Houthis, which targeted a popular market in the Al-Barasha area west of Taiz.
