On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, a government official from the internationally recognized Yemeni government dismissed claims of internal disputes between President Rashad al-Alimi and Prime Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak, stating that such allegations exist only in the imaginations of those who promote them.

In a statement published by the official Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the source condemned the ongoing media campaigns as "systematic" efforts to "distort public awareness and mislead public opinion," asserting that these issues do not reflect reality.

The official stated, "These allegations and slanders have no basis in truth," adding that they had been previously refuted on the official website of the Prime Minister's office. He reiterated that the government's primary battle is against the Houthi militia, which is behind the current media campaign, and emphasized the importance of national unity.

He clarified that the Prime Minister's office has no secondary conflicts with any components of the legitimacy or leadership levels within the government, asserting, "Our only battle is against the Houthi terrorist militia."

The source reiterated that the fight against the Houthis is clear and existential for all Yemenis and Arabs, aimed at eradicating the Iranian-backed sectarian project. He emphasized that the Prime Minister's focus will remain solely on confronting the Houthi militia and will not be distracted by directed and funded media campaigns.

According to the official, the Prime Minister's attention will concentrate not only on the battle to restore the state and end the coup but also on institutional reforms, combating corruption, and addressing economic challenges, relying on the support of the Presidential Leadership Council and the will of the Yemeni people.

The government source called for all media outlets to exercise caution and refrain from spreading lies and incitement that threaten national unity. This statement follows reports in local media about alleged disagreements between al-Alimi and bin Mubarak regarding government reforms, including fuel import processes and anti-corruption measures.
