On December 12, 2024, Lieutenant General Sultan Al-Arada, a member of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, emphasized the need for intensified efforts and strengthened collaboration to address ongoing challenges in Yemen. Speaking from the Arab Coalition headquarters in Riyadh, he stated that the current phase requires a responsible approach to recent events and an elevation of readiness to meet pressing challenges.

Al-Arada made these comments during a meeting with Major General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Sulami, commander of the joint forces, to discuss the latest developments in military and field operations, as reported by the Yemeni news agency Saba.

The discussion focused on enhancing coordination across various levels and supporting military and security efforts to overcome current difficulties, aiming to restore state institutions and end the Houthi insurgency.

During the meeting, Al-Arada highlighted the importance of partnership in confronting threats facing Yemen and the region. He called for ongoing technical and logistical support and the development of strategic plans to achieve shared objectives.

He expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the Yemeni people for the support provided by Saudi Arabia, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in backing the legitimate government and assisting Yemen in various fields.

Al-Arada noted that the Yemeni people will not forget the sacrifices made by the Arab Coalition, emphasizing that these heroic acts will remain etched in the memories of all Yemenis.

In response, Major General Al-Sulami affirmed the joint forces' commitment to enhancing the capabilities of the Yemeni armed forces and supporting all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Yemen, contributing to a safe and prosperous future for its citizens.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Arada and Al-Sulami exchanged commemorative plaques in recognition of their collaborative efforts, attended by Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, and several leaders from the coalition supporting Yemen's legitimacy.
