In a push for better connectivity, Mabkhot bin Aqar, the Director General of the General Organization for Wireless and Wire Communications in Marib, Yemen, urged relevant authorities on December 22, 2024, to facilitate improvements in telecommunications services across the province.
During a review of project implementation and the needs of the Guirban area along the international road in eastern Marib, bin Aqar highlighted the future projects aimed at overcoming the challenges currently hindering service quality for residents.
He emphasized that collaboration and coordination among all stakeholders are crucial for enhancing infrastructure and achieving significant progress in telecommunications services for Marib and the surrounding eastern regions.
Bin Aqar reiterated the organization's commitment to adopting modern communication technologies and ensuring that all citizens across Yemen have access to essential services.
Marib's telecommunications sector has been grappling with severe service degradation, with many areas, including those along the international road, lacking basic connectivity.
