The Yemeni military's Taiz Axis reported on December 22, 2024, that it successfully thwarted three attacks launched by Houthi militants, classified internationally as a terrorist organization, in the southwestern province of Taiz.

In a statement shared with "Barran Press," the military's media center revealed that over the past ten days, its forces repelled multiple infiltration attempts and assaults by Houthi elements on strategic positions within the province.

“The army engaged in fierce confrontations with the militia, utilizing various weapons to counter their advances and targeting their artillery positions, resulting in the death of one Houthi fighter,” the statement noted.

The report highlighted that these attacks coincided with Houthi drone strikes targeting residential neighborhoods and villages in the western outskirts of Taiz.

In recent weeks, Houthi forces have intensified their aggressive operations against army positions across multiple fronts in Taiz, while also continuing to amass weapons and reinforcements, constructing military fortifications around the city.
