Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed Knesset members on December 23, 2024, that he has directed the military to destroy Houthi infrastructure after the Yemeni rebels recently launched missiles toward Israel.

According to Agence France-Presse, Netanyahu stated, "I have instructed our armed forces to demolish the Houthi infrastructure because we will strike back with full force against any party that seeks to harm us. We will continue to crush the forces of evil with strength and skill, even if it takes time."

In a related development, the Israeli military announced that it intercepted a drone launched from Yemen aimed at Israel, confirming that it was shot down before entering Israeli airspace, as reported by Yedioth Ahronoth.

This follows an incident last Friday when a missile fired from Yemen landed in Tel Aviv, injuring 16 people due to shattered window glass, according to emergency services.
