In a significant address on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Presidential Council member Tariq Saleh emphasized the crucial need for the media front to align with the Presidential Leadership Council. This collaboration is essential to advancing economic reforms, strengthening state institutions, and addressing the needs of the Yemeni people.

During a meeting with Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Moammar Al-Eryani, Saleh reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to tackling the challenges facing the official media sector. He highlighted the importance of enhancing the capabilities of government media institutions to support the fight for state restoration and counter the narrative of Houthi governance.

Saleh urged a revitalization of the media front, stressing the urgency of uniting national media discourse against Iranian influence at this critical juncture. He reviewed the current state of government media institutions and discussed the obstacles they face.

The two leaders exchanged ideas and proposals to improve media and cultural institutions. They advocated for using digital media to engage the public and protect Yemen's identity from the damaging Houthi ideology.

In response, Minister Al-Eryani outlined the challenges confronting media institutions and their vital role in the national struggle, expressing gratitude for Saleh’s ongoing support for the media and journalists.
