In a show of solidarity and readiness, Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan called on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, for the army and security forces in the province to maintain high levels of preparedness for any emergency situation.

During a visit to the military command in Taiz, Shamsan emphasized that supporting the troops on the front lines is a top priority to bolster the army's resilience against the Houthi "terrorist militia." He stated, “We are all in the same trench,” highlighting the importance of collective efforts to confront the "militia of destruction" and praising the immense sacrifices made by army heroes defending the province.

Meanwhile, Taiz military commander Major General Khaled Fadel underscored the significance of Shamsan’s visit amid increasing Houthi provocations, which have a direct impact on boosting the morale of national forces. He confirmed the army's readiness to undertake any military missions with high spirits, stating, “The army is prepared to face any threats.”

Just two days prior, on December 23, the Taiz military axis reported successfully thwarting a failed Houthi attack on army positions in the northwest defense line of the city, resulting in the deaths of eight Houthi militants and injuries to 15 others.

In recent days, Taiz forces have also foiled several infiltration attempts by Houthi fighters, further demonstrating their commitment to safeguarding the province.
