In a crucial update for Yemeni students studying overseas, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on December 26, 2024, that it has begun the process of transferring allowances for the third quarter of 2023.
Mazen Al-Jafri, the Deputy Minister for Scholarships, confirmed that the transfers will be made from the Central Bank of Yemen in Aden to all accredited cultural attachés and Yemeni embassies abroad. This funding is expected to reach students in the coming days.
Al-Jafri also mentioned that the ministry has completed preparations for the fourth quarter of 2023, aiming to reduce the time gap between the due dates and the expected delivery of funds. He urged students to appreciate the difficult circumstances and challenges facing the nation.
