On December 31, 2024, local sources reported violent explosions reverberating across the capital city of Sana'a, coinciding with the ongoing flight of aircraft believed to be part of the US-led international coalition.

Witnesses informed Bran Press that three airstrikes hit the Defense Ministry headquarters, known as Al-Aredi, which is under the control of the Iran-aligned Houthi movement, classified as a terrorist organization by many countries.

Additionally, the coalition forces launched three more airstrikes on the former First Armored Division headquarters in northern Sana'a, resulting in widespread explosions that could be heard throughout various neighborhoods in the city.

Since the beginning of the year, the US-led coalition has intensified its airstrikes and missile attacks on Houthi positions across several provinces in response to the group's assaults on commercial shipping in the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf.
