On December 31, 2024, Major General Yahya Humaid, the Director of Police in Mareb Governorate, Yemen, instructed the Traffic Police Department to finalize legal measures aimed at organizing the operations of taxi buses and defining their routes within the city. This directive comes as part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in Mareb's streets.

During a visit to the Traffic Police Department, Major General Humaid assessed the current situation and the initiatives being implemented to manage traffic more effectively. He was accompanied by Colonel Yahya Al-Akwa, the Assistant Director of Police for Security Affairs, who provided a brief overview of the department's annual performance report for 2024.

Humaid discussed the challenges faced by the Traffic Police and outlined plans to address these issues, while also highlighting the achievements made during the year. He praised the dedication of the Traffic Police leadership and their personnel in maintaining discipline and effectively managing traffic congestion throughout the governorate.

The Mareb police chief urged the Traffic Police members to intensify their efforts, rectify any deficiencies, and build upon the successes achieved to date.
