MARIB, Yemen — On January 1, 2024, the Social Affairs and Labor Office in Marib, in collaboration with Qatarat Development Foundation, concluded a training course aimed at enhancing the capabilities of professionals working in child protection.
The training featured sessions led by Saktora Al-Baqmah, Director of the Women and Children's Department at the Social Affairs Office, and Abdulaziz Al-Qadi, a child protection trainer with a focus on humanitarian access. They provided insights into improving referral pathways and developing service maps for case management specialists from civil society organizations and government entities. A total of 24 participants attended the course.
After the training, Abdullah Qayqab, a representative of the Social Affairs Office, expressed gratitude to the Qatarat Development Foundation for their support in organizing the course. He noted that this initiative would significantly enhance the skills and expertise of civil society organizations and government agencies in child protection programs and activities.
In his remarks, Mohammad Al-Matari, Director of Qatarat Development Foundation's Marib office, thanked the Social Affairs Office for their partnership in hosting the training. He praised the effective collaboration with the office's director, Abdul Hakim Al-Qaisi, and commended the high-quality training provided by Al-Baqmah and Al-Qadi.
