MARIB, Yemen — On January 1, 2024, Major General Yahya Hamid, the director of the Marib Police Department, underscored the importance of adherence to moral guidance programs among security personnel in the province. His remarks came during the launch of a national awareness and guidance campaign initiated by the General Directorate of Police for the first quarter of 2025.

The campaign, organized by the Public Relations and Moral Guidance Department, aims to enhance the security and police mindset among personnel while honing their skills to adapt to changing field conditions. Major General Hamid stressed that fostering a sense of national belonging and ethical commitment directly impacts operational efficiency.

He called for positive engagement from all police and security members in the province to participate actively in the campaign’s activities, highlighting that moral values and national dedication are fundamental to achieving security success.

In support of this initiative, Colonel Abdullah Al-Sabri, commander of the Special Security Forces in Marib, and Colonel Mohammed Al-Qarah, deputy director of the Police for Facility Protection and Personal Security, reiterated that the program seeks to provide a comprehensive development for individuals, encompassing religious, ethical, security, and policing aspects.

Both leaders emphasized the critical need to prioritize this training to imbue security personnel with the necessary national spirit and operational readiness to fulfill their duties effectively and achieve the goals of the security institution.
