MARIB, Yemen — On January 5, 2025, local authorities in Marib province, northeastern Yemen, inaugurated the first-semester examinations for the 2024-2025 academic year at the Industrial Vocational Institute.
During the launch, Abdullah Al-Bakri, the Deputy Governor for Administrative Affairs, received information from Najy Muftah, the Deputy Director of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Office in the province, about the specializations of the 65 students participating in the exams. The students are distributed across the computer and electrical wiring departments at various educational levels.
Al-Bakri praised the efforts of the institute’s staff and encouraged students to strive for academic excellence. He emphasized the local authority's commitment to equipping youth with vocational and technical skills to meet labor market demands, highlighting the importance of modern specializations and essential services due to the ongoing urban expansion and commercial investment in the province.
