The National Coalition of Political Parties emphasized the need to bolster military efforts to liberate all areas still under the control of the Houthi group, which is internationally classified as a terrorist organization. This statement was made during a meeting of the coalition on January 6, 2025, chaired by Ahmed bin Daghr, the Chairman of the Shura Council and head of the coalition.

According to a statement from the coalition, there is a strong call to leverage international shifts in attitudes towards Yemen and the region to confront Iranian proxies that exploit local populations to fulfill their regional ambitions.

The coalition reiterated its full commitment to working alongside all national forces to restore the Yemeni state and build a nation that fulfills the people's aspirations for a dignified and secure life.

The meeting also addressed the dire consequences of the economic collapse affecting citizens, who are suffering from escalating corruption, rising Houthi terrorism, and violations of the fragile ceasefire, resulting in civilian and military casualties.

Additionally, the coalition discussed recent government reforms aimed at enhancing the roles of oversight institutions, such as the Higher Tenders Committee and the National Anti-Corruption Authority, asserting that these steps represent the beginning of restoring state authority and upholding the rule of law.
