The National Meteorological Center has forecasted cold weather conditions across most provinces in Yemen, with the possibility of scattered rain in certain areas. The announcement was made on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

According to the center's daily report, reviewed by Barran Press, cold and clear weather is anticipated in mountainous regions, particularly during late-night and early morning hours in the governorates of Sa'dah, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda.

The report also predicts relatively cool to cold temperatures in the highlands of western Al-Jawf, southern and western Marib, Ibb, Al-Dhale, Lahij, and Abyan, as well as on the plateaus of Shabwa, Hadhramaut, and Al-Mahrah. There is a possibility of fog formation in various areas of the western and southwestern highlands, along with rainfall in some regions.

Coastal areas are expected to experience clear to cloudy weather, with intermittent rain in parts of the southern coasts and the adjacent inland areas. Winds are forecast to strengthen, reaching speeds of up to 28 knots at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, the southern Red Sea, and the western Gulf of Aden.

The center also noted that desert areas will experience clear and relatively cold weather during the night and early morning, with moderate winds occasionally intensifying to speeds of up to 18 knots, stirring dust and sand.
