On January 25, 2025, military sources to Barran Press, confirmed that Yemeni army forces thwarted an infiltration attempt by Iran-backed Houthi militants in the Al-Ahthoub front, Jabal Habashi district, west of Taiz.
The army detected and repelled the Houthi groups, inflicting losses. Artillery from the Al-Nasr Brigade also destroyed a Houthi artillery position targeting army sites and residential areas.
Earlier this week, the army repelled Houthi infiltration attempts in the Krayfat front, east of Taiz, forcing the militants to withdraw. The army has dealt with numerous Houthi attacks on military positions across various fronts in the province.
