In a recent "Barran Podcast," Abdullah Al-Qubaisi, a prominent leader of the Marib resistance, criticized the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council for failing to meet the expectations of the Yemeni people.
Al-Qubaisi attributed the ongoing stalemate in the war against the Iran-backed Houthi militia not to the strength of the enemy, but to internal divisions within the legitimate government. He criticized the council for focusing on minor issues instead of prioritizing the liberation of the country and the restoration of the state.
"Either the council members meet the expectations of their people, or it is more honorable for them to leave," Al-Qubaisi declared. He expressed disappointment with the council's performance, noting that initial hopes for decisive action against the Houthis have dwindled, leading to growing disillusionment among the Yemeni people.
Acknowledging the challenges facing the country, including the disintegration of state institutions and the ongoing conflict, Al-Qubaisi emphasized the resilience of the Yemeni people. He affirmed their commitment to defending the republic, even if abandoned by others.
Al-Qubaisi stressed the urgent need for unity among Yemeni leaders. He urged them to address critical national issues and to set aside minor differences that hinder progress in the fight against the Houthi insurgency.
