The Yemeni army reported on Saturday that it successfully thwarted attacks launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in Marib governorate.
According to the Yemeni Defense Ministry's "September Net" website, government forces repelled Houthi assaults on the Al-Kasara, Al-Mashjah, and Madghal frontlines. Four soldiers were wounded in the fighting. The Houthis employed artillery, Katyusha rockets, and snipers.
The army responded, destroying a combat vehicle and neutralizing several firing positions in Al-Fulaiha.
Separately, the army targeted a Houthi position in Raghwan, injuring three militants and destroying a weapons cache. The Houthi attacks have intensified across multiple governorates since the beginning of the year, following three years of relative calm, raising concerns both locally and internationally about a potential escalation of the conflict.
